Antibacterial hand gel

Our water based hand gel is available in three delivery systems; single use sachet, 15ml personal bottle and one litre cartridge for use in our push button and touch free dispensers. Each system is designed to provide cover and protection wherever it is needed and deliver our gel which has the following benefits over other products currently available in the market place;

    • As it is water based it cannot catch fire (it has no flash point)
    • It has been independently tested and has attained the highest results in the current marketplace (including alcohol based products)
    • Food safe
    • Continues to protect your skin for up to four hours after application (or until you wash your hands)
    • Natural based products therefore kinder to your skin
    • Kills Norovirus unlike alcohol-based products.
    • Up to half the price per application (compared to alcohol-based hand gels)
    • Proudly conforms to: BS EN1276 (2019);

Antibacterial multi-surface cleaner

Like the hand gel, this provides the highest levels of protection from bacteria and viruses that can gather on surfaces. When applied to a surface not only does it kill up to 99.999% of bacteria already there but it will also prevent other germs from making a home, killing them on contact.

    • Safe to use where food is prepared
    • Effective protection for all surfaces
    • 100% bleach-free and alcohol-free

Simply spray onto any surface and wipe clean. There’s no need to rinse, let our water-based spray work its magic.
Proudly conforms to: BS EN1276 (2019) and BS EN 13697:2015+A1:2019

Alcohol free

100% Alcohol Free

As the general public seeks to protect themselves from coronavirus and prevent the widespread transmission of the virus, hand sanitiser is flying off the shelves.

Why is Alcohol a problem?

  • Although the primary advice from the NHS, Public Health England (PHE) and the World Health Organisation (WHO) is to practice thorough hand hygiene by washing your hands with hot soap and water to help combat the spread of coronavirus, hand sanitiser is a decent alternative when you are nowhere near a water source, such as on your daily exercise or shopping trip.
  • The NHS and Public Health England have stated that to kill most viruses, a hand sanitiser needs to have at least a 60% alcohol content – with most big brand hand gels containing 60-95%.
  • This is a huge misconception. Not only does the right formulation not need alcohol in it to be effective – a hand sanitiser with an alcohol content that high can be really bad for your skin.
  • It is said that repeated and frequent use of hand sanitiser has the potential to cause irritation to your hands over time and even minor damage through dryness.
  • Our founder, Mark Gardner, said: ‘‘There is a wealth of evidence to suggest that alcohol based hand sanitiser has adverse effects over time to the skin – these products can cause damage and dryness due to the harshness of the formula.

Whilst we appreciate that the severity of the Coronavirus is such that dry, painful hands are a better choice than having the infection, we want to highlight that there is protection available which doesn’t include alcohol, and is therefore kinder and gentler on the skin. Our formula, built over the past 10 years using chemicals that combat the Coronavirus and 99.999% of germs, doesn’t contain any alcohol at all and therefore doesn’t have any of the harmful effects.”

bleach_free

100% Bleach Free

Bleach (sodium hypochlorite) is one of the most commonly used disinfectants in early care and education (ECE). It is inexpensive and effective at killing germs when used properly.

Why is bleach a problem?

  • We now know that exposure to bleach can make asthma worse in people who already have asthma.
  • Research shows that workers who are exposed to bleach can develop new asthma from exposure to bleach over time. In 2012, the Association of Occupational and Environmental Clinics (AOEC), named bleach an asthmagen, which means it can cause asthma, not just trigger an asthma attack in someone who is already asthmatic.
  • Children are at greater risk from breathing bleach vapors because their lungs are still developing.
  • Bleach can irritate the skin and eyes.
  • Bleach has a short shelf life, so you should
only purchase what you will use within 3
months and solutions should be mixed daily.
  • Mixing bleach with other chemicals
    containing ammonia, quaternary ammonium
    compounds (found in other disinfectants),
vinegar or other acids can create toxic gases.
  • Bleach corrodes many metals. It should never
be used on stainless steel, aluminum, copper,
    brass, marble, or granite.
  • Bleach is neutralised by dirt and other
organic material, so it isn’t very effective
when used on a surface that hasn’t been
    cleaned.

Kills 99.999% of Bacteria

In industry today, where hygiene is very important, and with strict guidelines in place, it is vital that the cleaning products you use meet all the necessary standards. Choosing the right product needs careful consideration, not only for the task involved but also for the level of disinfection that is required in your environment.

  • Food preparation surfaces and equipment which come into contact with food may be contaminated with several different types of bacteria. A good, effective, disinfectant is required to kill a wide range of bacteria on a surface, not just those known to be responsible for food poisoning.
  • There are many disinfectants (also often referred to as sanitisers) claiming they will kill 99.9% of bacteria. Although this sounds extremely efficient, it does not prove that a product is an effective disinfectant.
  • In order to demonstrate effectiveness, disinfectants should be tested using European Standard Test Methods. One of the most common test methods for food areas, and the one which we are asked about most often, is EN 1276. The full title for this method is ‘Chemical disinfectants and antiseptics – Quantitative suspension test for the evaluation of bactericidal activity of chemical disinfectants and antiseptics used in food, industrial, domestic and institutional areas’. In order to pass EN 1276 the product must achieve a 5 log reduction in test bacteria (E.coli, Enterococcus hirae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus) at its specified dilution. This means that a ready to use solution of the product must kill 99.999% of bacteria in 2 minutes at 20°C.
